Freiburg

We are working in research and development of new techniques for magnetic resonance imaging in close collaboration with clinical partners, Freiburg University Medical Centre and beyond. Our field of activity includes the basic research of MRI methods and their environement from desk up to product development, in which the basic techniques are optimized and tested for a given application.

Research areas

• Imaging Hardware(gradients, RF coils) and Pulse Sequence Development
• Small animal imaging (AMIR)
• Functional Imaging
• Cardiovascular MRI
• Diffusion and perfusion
• Interventional MRI and Image processing
• MR spectroscopy, X-nuclei MRI and Hyperpolarization
• volunteers and patient studies, external collaborations (MRDAC)

Facilities

Various clinical 1.5T and 3T MRI scanner
Access to shared 7T MRI at the DKFZ Heidelberg
